The Manuscript
At this moment, I am looking for an agent who would be eager to collaborate with me in building my career, and finding the best publishers worldwide for the manuscript that I am submitting to you. I am visioning big with the manuscript.
As I mentioned in my letter, the manuscript is based on a true story. In the beginning, the story is so common, it happens all the time around the world, and creates a lot of complex emotions. But as the happenings will reveal, this story ends up being an extraordinary story, and it is an example of what can happen, when extraordinary action is taken.
The story, or telling this story, is very bold or courageous. It has brought up conflicting feelings and shaken up the rutted thinking in people who have heard the story or read it. Some have been surpised, some shocked, some deeply touched, some excited. A story worth telling, they have agreed.
Hello! I’m Juliette,
a visionary writer,
who is looking for a literary agent and a publisher.
Does the world and people need more stories and books? Do we need stories and books about positive change and transformation? Do we need stories that build connections? How about stories and books that give people hope and new visions, maybe even new direction in their life? Do people need and want examples of how to change their life, examples of courage and extraordinary action?
I hope that the answer is Yes! to all of these questins because that is what I am writing about. And I am envisioning for myself a long and prosperious career as a writer, speaker, influencer and healing storyteller.
I have one addiction. Books. I am not able to leave a bookshop without a book. I don’t get myself a wine bottle when the weekend starts. I get myself a book. As much as I love reading, I might love writing even more. As a child. I was told that I have the gift with words. Even won some national writing contests.
I have published one book with WSOY, one of the biggest publishing houses in Finland. That book was a non-fiction book, although I used a lot of fictional writing in it. It was published over then years ago, it is only in Finnish, and I used my former name when I wrote it. It is a good book, though.
Transformation
No problem can be solved from the same level of consiousness that created it, said Einstein. To me, his words mean that we can’t keep living as the same people as before and expect things to change. Not on a personally level, and not globally.
I know myself how difficult it can be to change your life. Because it might require the transformation of myself. That is what I am doing here, transforming my identity, being an example of the change that brings hope.
I want to give people stories about how the change is possible, with this manuscript and hopefully many future books. Who knows, that might even change the level of consiousness a bit.
Broken by Trauma
I was meant to be a fulltime author ages ago. But I have pumped into many difficulties during my life. To put it in a nutshell, I pumped into many aspects and consequences of trauma. That forced me to look very deeply into what trauma is and how it affects us and our whole world.
The main consequence of trauma is broken connection, and that breaking of connections happens on every level, also globally. I have spent half of my life finding ways how to restore connections, first inside individuals, then between people.
It seems obvious that one of the reasons of our present global situation is broken connections. I believe that what restores connections in an indivual will do it also globally and between nations.
In the Manuscript
”Sometimes showing your real self was a challenging thing to do because people in your life expected you to stay the same. But let’s face it, she said to herself. Of course it was always yourself, in the end, that was either hindering or enabling the change.”
”In the neighbourhood where I lived as a kid, I often saw families struggling to meet up, and provide for their kids even the most basics of things. You saw people ageing so early with wrinkles. … No matter how difficult your life is, no matter how heartbroken you are or whatever it is you are going through, make sure to always eat.”
”She didn’t understand what was happening, when she once again found herself stuck between the cousins. The front door was yanked open, and a big guy in a uniform took the front seat. Nobody made an effort to explain anything to her.
’Baby, can you walk?’ he asked. ’The airport is just there.'”
”His questions made her smile: he was asking about her heart when she had asked about his mind. Global heart, western mind.”
Healed by Story
In the beginning, there was a word, a story, maybe a book. We create our life and world according to the stories he hear, learn, and read. Stories is the way our heart and soul understand this life.
If you want to touch someone deeply and change their life, tell them a story. Story is the best way to heal traumas and build connections. If you want to be a catalyst for change, write a book. Or books. And that is what I want.
My mission and goal is to be a visionary writer and speaker who knows that the transformation is possible because she has been through it herself. That is my brand.
